There is no doubt between the Muslim scholars in general and specifically scholars of Hadith that al-Imaam Muhammad Ibn Isma’il al-Bukhari was one of the greatest scholars in his time. His juristic, hadith and faith views were unbelievably valuable and essential as he reports that from the generation before him. We at SAIS selected one of these narrations, where he presented the faith of Ahl as-Sunnah wa al-Jama’ah and studied it with a brief commentary. We gifted this to our students as a cellebration when our Hadith students completed the study of the ‘Chapter of Faith’ from Sahih al-Bukhari.
This course is designed to cover the most important issue of faith at the time of al-Bukhari; the third Islamic century. There were four parts in this course. They are:
  • Part 1: Recitation of the book.
  • Part 2: Brief commentary on the book.
  • Part 3: Ijazah of the chain.
  • Part 4: Questions and comments.
Here are some of the points that were mentioned in the booklet.
  1. The Faith and its definition
  2. The Sincerity
  3. The Qur’an is the words of Allah ta’ala
  4. Destiny
