We easily hear the call of Allah… the call from thousands of years ago… the call from the deadly valley of Makkah… the call of the father of the prophets…

“And proclaim to mankind the Hajj (pilgrimage). They will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, they will come from every deep and distant (wide) mountain highway (to perform Hajj).”

Do you feel as we are feeling! The desire to meet Allah in His house is a breeze on your heart that takes away all the heat of this dunya…. It is the place where the lovers meet their beloved; the Most Merciful… where they cry for their sins… beg for His forgiveness.

We want to go to Hajj to fulfil Allah’s command… to discipline ourselves… to remember the Day of Gathering… to remove the sickness from the heart and wash it with the mercy of the Merciful… We want to have serenity… Whatever reason we may have for wanting to perform this journey of a lifetime, we at SAIS like to take these blessed seasons as an opportunity to help the community to achieve their aims.

We will walk through the road to Makkah following the blessed footsteps of our beloved Prophet (pbuh) using the understanding of the four schools of thought and others. We understand that we may ONLY get one opportunity to perform Hajj in our lives, so let us make it the best we can practically and religiously.

Do not solely rely on the group leaders of your Hajj organisation, educate yourself by learning what is required from you and mentally prepare yourself as to what will come next. The seminar was taught in August 2016 and again in July 2017. The course was taught in English with references to verses and statements in Arabic. However, all the details were explained in English. There are no pre-requisites required nor were there any exams at the end of the course.
By considering the four schools of thought, and the fact that the majority of our community come from the Hanafi school background, the seminar covered all what should be known by any person wanting to go for Hajj and/or Umrah, starting from the mental preparation for this great journey, followed by all the steps that are required; Islamic and legal to complete this great act of worship. This includes the following:

1. Definitions
2. Conditions of the Hajj & Umrah
3. Pillars of the Hajj & Umrah
4. The Obligations of the Hajj & Umrah
5. The actions that nullify the Hajj & Umrah
6. The Virtues of the Hajj & Umrah
7. 1st day of Hajj and its actions
8. 2nd day of Hajj and its actions
9. 3rd day of Hajj and its actions
10. 4th day of Hajj and its actions
11. 5th day of Hajj and its actions
12. And much much more …
The seminar is designed to be open to everyone, male and female, it does not matter whether you are planning to go for Umrah & Hajj, or even if you have already been there.
The course is approximately 5 hours over one day. However, you can enrol for the course and take your time to complete it.
Once you enrol for this course and we receive your application form, the materials which were used in the course will be sent to you via email.
